Soenke sunk into one of our Victorian chairs in the dining room with the pellet stove blasting in the background. It's a great way to end a ski day. (Taken with my iPad.)
Soenke loaned Bailey his new hat from Olympia Sports on this New Years Day. The boys skied until 3pm and then we made a lasagna dinner. Today, the college football teams play for championships called Bowl Games... and tomorrow, yet again, there will be skiing.
The boys are up skiing at Black Mountain and by now they should be with my niece Rylee (we spent Christmas Eve with her family). I worked all morning on a manuscript and my beloved email and just returned from a hike on the mountain behind our home. The boys enjoyed a good new year's night with many friends and most of "the Foreigns" at a classmate's home in South Rumford. Now, I'm waiting for the phone call
to go pick them up at Black Mountain while Bailey devours a Kong smeared with peanut butter and filled with treats. Life's good! Happy 2016! |
